How To Use The Analysis Grid

The Analysis Grid in Insight7 helps you ask structured questions and get precise answers from each transcript, making it perfect for deep research, QA, and thematic evaluation. You can use built-in templates or create your own custom question sets for consistent, scalable analysis.

Accessing the Analysis Grid #

Step 1: Go to Ask Questions

  1. Log in to your Insight7 account at insight7.io

  2. From the main navigation, click Analyze → Ask Questions

Step 2: Choose “Analysis Grid”
Select Analysis Grid to begin.
Use this when you want to:

  • Ask multiple questions across multiple transcripts

  • Compare answers side by side

  • Automate qualitative analysis for large datasets

Customize Your Questions #

You can set up your analysis using one of three options:

Option 1: Enter Manually #

Manually add the questions you want Insight7 to answer.
Example:

  • What are the top pain points across this dataset?

  • What are users’ biggest motivations?

  • How do customers describe their experience?
    Click Add Question to include more.

Option 2: Auto Generate #

Let Insight7 help you generate or import your question sets.

  • Upload Questions: Import a file containing your questions.

  • Extract from Transcripts: Automatically generate relevant questions from your uploaded call transcripts.

Option 3: Use Templates #

Select prebuilt or saved templates to speed up setup.

Insight7 Templates include:

  • Marketing: Customer Insights, Audience Insights, Messaging & Positioning, Content & Communications, Sales Optimization, Competitor Insights, Pricing, Market Trends, Customer Loyalty & Retention

  • Product: Customer Discovery, User Experience (UX), Product Strategy, Concept Validation, Innovation Discovery, Competitive Positioning

  • Research: Thematic Analysis, Content Analysis, Grounded Theory Approach, Comparative Analysis, Expert Insights

  • Operations: Process Optimization, Quality Assurance, Service Design, Resource Allocation, Risk Management

Or select from My Templates if you’ve saved custom question sets before.

Step 3: Run the Analysis #

After setting your questions, click Ask Questions to generate insights.
Insight7 will display each transcript’s responses side by side, allowing you to:

  • Compare patterns across calls

  • Spot recurring answers

  • Export insights for reporting or presentation

Use the Analysis Grid after uploading multiple transcripts to get consistent, question-based insights across your entire dataset.
