How to Create a SWOT Analysis from Customer Conversations

Insight7 lets you automatically generate a SWOT Analysis, identifying Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats directly from Voice of Customer (VOC) data. Instead of relying on assumptions, you can base your SWOT on what customers actually say.

Accessing SWOT Analysis from Conversations #

Step 1: Go to Analyze → Templates

  1. Log in to your Insight7 account at insight7.io

  2. From the main navigation, select Analyze → Templates

Step 2: Choose “Marketing”
Click Marketing under the Templates section.

Step 3: Select “Positioning”
Under Marketing, you’ll see:

  • Messaging

  • Positioning

  • Marketing Research

  • Content & Communications

Click Positioning, then select SWOT Analysis from Conversations.

Creating Your SWOT Analysis #

What it does:

  • Extracts customer feedback to reveal real-world Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats

  • Groups insights by sentiment, frequency, and impact

  • Provides a VOC-driven foundation for strategic planning

How to use it:

  1. Upload your call or transcript files

  2. Click Run Analysis

  3. Review your automatically generated SWOT grid, categorized from customer conversations

Use the SWOT Analysis to align marketing, product, or CX strategies with what customers are truly saying — not what you assume.
